Congratulations are in order for InThain FC who have taken out this year's AWSL competition with a stunning 6-4 victory over Minor Premiers The Yaheers in the Grand Final.

It was a thrilling final series for InThain FC who defeated Short Skirts FC by the same score in the Elimination Final, before squeezing past 2nd ranked Red Mist FC in the 2-legged Semi Finals on penalties after an incredible 11-11 aggregate scoreline.

For The Yaherrs, while it ultimately ended in heartbreak, it was still a successful campaign, taking out the Minor Premiership and knocking off a plucky Knickerbocker Glory 8-7 on aggregate in the Semi-Finals.

16/03/2026

The second ever AWSL proved to be much more competitive than the first as the depth of the talent continues to grow.

After 18 home and away fixtures, it was The Yaherrs who finished the regular season atop the pile with a very impressive 32 points and a Goal Difference of +12. Red Mist FC were the best of the rest, three points back on 29, with InThain FC finishing 3rd on 27 points. Rounding out the Finals spots were Maxine Power (26), Knickerbocker Glory (25) and Short Skirts FC (23).

Perhaps the biggest shock was that the defending Champions Beaza Girls just missed out on the Finals, finishing in 7th place on 22 points, one ahead of West Boinging Albion in 8th. FC Unreality also had a poor season compared to Season 1, they finished second last on 19 points, ahead of cellar dwellers Frockeroos who brought up the rear on just 15 points.

In the first week of the finals, 3rd placed InThain FC hosted Short Skirts FC while Maxine Power faced off against Knickerbocker Glory. The winners of both contests would progress to the 2-legged Semi Finals. InThain stayed true to form, winning 6-4 while the big shock was the Glory smashing Power 4-0 away from home to advance.

The Semi Final ties see The Yaheers face Glory and Red Mist go head-to-head with InThain FC.
